Instant booking

Discover the north slope of Etna with an easy group trek among lava flows, centuries-old forests and unique volcanic vistas accompanied by a certified guide.

Leaving from Piano Provenzana around 9:30 a.m., at about 1,800 meters above sea level, you will have an immersive experience in the nature of Europe’s highest active volcano.

After check-in you will begin the trail along a path that winds alongside the 2002 lava flow. You will walk through landscapes shaped by lava and traverse an evocative beech forest, surrounded by ever-changing vistas of black rocks, lush vegetation, and sweeping views of Etna’s north slope.

During the hike you will reach the base of the craters that gave rise to one of the most important eruptions in recent decades. You will be able to walk along the edge of the eruptive cones and take a close look at natural canyons and lava expanses that transformed the landscape of the historic Pineta Ragabo.
