During this experience you will reach the summit of Mount Etna accompanied by mountain and volcanological guides.

After a pre-departure briefing and handing out the appropriate equipment, you will take the cable car and a 4x4 jeep up to an altitude of about 2,800 meters. From here you will begin the approximately 2-hour trek through lava flows and lunar volcanic landscapes to Etna's summit craters.
You will reach the Central Crater with spectacular views of the dizzying Northeast Crater and the infamous Southeast Crater, responsible for the most recent and impressive eruptions.

In addition to the vastness of the summit craters, you will see the volcanic environment with gas emissions, volcanic bombs, and the shimmering colors of the ground due to the sublimation of various elements, most notably sulfur.

On the way down, you will visit the Barbagallo craters, cross a lava flow channel and admire the majestic Bove Valley.
Again at 2500 meters you will board the Etna cable car and return to the starting point.

Mount Etna is an active volcano, so at the discretion of the guide and the ordinances governing the use of the elevations, there may be variations to the itinerary if necessary.
