Explore the volcano of Stromboli through this breathtaking trek to the Sciara del Fuoco. Marvel at the lava explosions glowing in the night sky and be enchanted by the magic.
After a briefing, you will begin the trek from a nature trail that leads to 400 meters, the maximum altitude allowed. Enjoy the spectacular views that will surround you on the way. Once at 400mt you will admire the summit craters and the majestic Sciara del Fuoco. During the trek, you will take breaks to admire the view and visit the island's old cemetery. You will pass through Mediterranean scrubland, accompanied by the constant view of Strombolicchio.
Upon arrival at the Sciara del Fuoco, you will pause for about 1h admiring the sunset that colors the Aeolian archipelago red and witness the volcanic eruptions that light up the night sky.
The descent will be totally in the dark equipped with flashlights back to the starting point.
Excursions may vary or be interrupted if weather conditions, environmental causes or possible volcanic hazards pose a source of danger, at the guide's discretion.

Important information
Experience suitable for everyone from age 7. Not recommended for: pregnant women, people with back problems, those with motor difficulties, those with heart conditions, those in wheelchairs, those who are dizzy and those with respiratory problems
Please note: The sunset trek ends late in the evening, which means you will have to stay on the island of Stromboli overnight as there are no late evening return ferries.
