Hot-air balloon ride from Barolo over the Langhe hills

Experience the thrill of a group hot-air balloon ride over the Langhe hills, departing from Barolo. Admire the vineyards, villages, and castles from above, and choose to enhance the experience with a winery tour and wine tasting.

The adventure begins at the L’Astemia winery, where you’ll meet the pilot and staff for a safety briefing. You’ll then board the hot-air balloon and prepare for takeoff, letting the wind carry you over the landscapes of the Langa del Barolo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the 40- to 60-minute flight, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the vineyards covering the hills, as well as the villages and castles of the region. You’ll reach an altitude of about 500 meters, alternating between sweeping panoramic views and closer passes over the vineyards and treetops. At the end of the flight, the pilot will land at a suitable location, and you’ll return to the starting point aboard the organization’s off-road vehicles.

To round out the experience, you can add a visit to the L’Astemia winery with a wine tasting, available for an additional fee and to be requested after your reservation is confirmed. The hot-air balloon activity lasts approximately 3 hours in total, including the briefing, flight, and transfers, while the optional winery tour lasts about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half.
