The 3 best dinners in a mountain hut in Livigno

Dinner at a mountain hut with snowmobile transport in Livigno is a unique opportunity to spend a relaxing evening in a mountain setting nestled in the Alps.

Your guide will pick you up by snowmobile at the Carosello 3000 parking lot and guide you through the picturesque snow-covered slopes to the mountain hut where you will have dinner.

Upon arriving at the hut you will be welcomed in a typical rustic mountain setting where you will savor local products. You will have a choice of 2 menus:

Full menu

•    Pioda with vegetables

Reduced menu 

•    Selection of cold cuts
•    Bis di primi

Wine and water are included, while coffee, drinks and extra courses are excluded.

At the end of dinner, around 10 pm, the guide will be responsible for taking you back to the meeting point by snowmobile.

Enjoy a typical Valtellina dinner on the ski slopes with incredible views of the town of Bormio.

Departure is at 7:30 p.m. from Bormio 2000 (where you will find free parking for cars and can be reached without problems but snow tires or chains on board are required) and the approximately 10-minute transfer will be by snowmobile (2-3 participants) or snowcat (multiple participants).

Transportation is included and is by snowcat from Bormio 2000 round trip (groups over 10 people) or snowmobile (under 10 people booked at the restaurant)

In case of intolerances please notify the facility to have variations in the menu. Children under 4 years old go up for free.

At the end of dinner you will be escorted back to the meeting point.

Night snowmobile excursion departing from Tonale Pass at about 7 pm. The snowmobile ride takes about 1 hour, after which we stop at a restaurant directly on the ski slopes for dinner.

At the end of dinner, around 11:00 p.m., we get back on the snowmobile and in about 15 minutes return to the valley.

The hut where you dine may be the Faita (Lombard side) or the Mirandola (Trentino side) depending on availability and customer willingness.

Included in the dinner are:

On the way back, the route is a little shorter (lasts about 15min).

The experience is guaranteed upon reaching the minimum number of snowmobiles for that date. In case it is not reached you will be contacted by the facility to change the date.

La Tana del Gatto è a lodge on the ski slopes of the Valtellina resort of Livigno, in the province of Sondrio, a perfect destination for ski and shopping lovers.

The property offers a fixed menuù consisting of:

•    Bis of first courses, based on seasonal ingredients, which will allow youà to taste some of the typical dishes of Valtellina cuisine such as pizzoccheri, tagliatelle with venison ragù, ravioli with mushroom stuffing.
•    A meat main course: stew with polenta.

However, è it is also possible to reserve a single course. While for children up to 12 years old, the set menu has a discounted price.

A 20-minute drive from Bormio, in the municipality of Valdidentro, the agriturismo's conveniently accessible by car and has parking.

The Rifugio Zoia è ready to host you for dinner at 2021 meters. The typical Valtellina cuisine and the night view of the Bernina Massif and Valmalenco will create a unique atmosphere.

Dinner consists of a 3-course set menu: a first course, a second course and a dessert, among which it will be possible to taste dishes with local products such as pizzoccheri, polenta with braised meat, cold cuts and cheeses.

The overnight stay will be in a private room. The lodge è has 13 rooms including 4 double rooms. Each room è has a private bathroom and a magnificent view. For those staying at the lodge è there is access to a private solarium and breakfast. 

The lodge è has paid parking five minutes' walk away. In winter, the road may be impassable due to excessive snow or ice even if the car è equipped with winter tires or chains. In this case, Rifugio Zoia è can be reached on foot with a snowshoe hike of about 2:30 hours, starting from Franscia. The equipment must be personal, it is not provided by the facility.
