Pottery course in Milan to create stoneware objects
Discover the art of ceramics inside a real craft workshop in the heart of Milan's design district. During this approximately 2 1/2-hour workshop, professional ceramists will guide you step by step in the discovery of stoneware, a durable and versatile clay perfect for creating beautiful yet useful objects in everyday life.
A creative and relaxing experience to discover ceramics, learn new techniques and make a unique piece made with your own hands. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced enthusiasts. No previous skills are required: all you need is the desire to experiment and get involved with your hands.
During the workshop you will explore different hand modeling techniques, using professional tools and learning the basic principles of pottery making. Here you will have the opportunity to make one of the following products: originally shaped vases, decorative planters, personalized breakfast sets or other unique items.
Once finished, the objects made will need time to complete the process: they will need to dry, face an initial firing and then be glazed. The studio will take care of the enameling and the second firing, which is necessary to fix the enamel and make the pieces durable and ready for use.
Between drying and double firing it will take about 4–5 weeks before the pieces are ready for pickup or shipping.
We can also arrange experiences for groups larger than 6 people. Contact Holidoit for more information.
