1. Brescia and the Wine Festival

We recommend as a stop Brescia, named the Capital of Culture, where you can visit the impressive Castle, open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission costs 12€ per person.

About an hour away you will find the Wine Festival in San Martino della Battaglia. From August 11 to 15, the event will enliven the evenings with food stands, DOC wines and live music for an authentic and engaging experience.

2. Crema and the Chiacchiere e Tortelli festival

At Ferragosto and for about a week,Square Aldo Moro in Crema will host a large outdoor table and the "Chiacchiere e Tortelli" festival.

The stars will be the creamy tortellidolci. You will be able to enjoy them on the spot or take them away.

The ancient recipe mixes unique ingredients such as amaretto, raisins, mostaccini and spices. During the festival, we recommend you also taste local cheeses, such as Salva Cremasco.

3. Ferragosto at the Castello Sforzesco

Throughout the year, and also on Ferragosto day, the Sforza Castle and its courts can be visited free of charge until 7:30 pm. You can, in addition, visit the museums inside it thanks to a single ticket that can be purchased on the official website.

For the evening of August 15, on the other hand, the City of Milan together with external entities, is organizing the Midsummer Grand Ball: an event within the walls of the Castle with classical musiclive.

The evening begins at 8 p.m. and to attend è you need to purchase a ticket online which is around 12€ per person. 

4. Quad bike excursion

For those who want a more adrenaline-pumping experience, a quad bike tour is the right choice. The tour has a departure from Sondrio , and you can opt for two different types of tours.

The basic tour is for those who are inexperienced and want to try a sightseeing tour from a different point of view. The adventure tour, which is longer in duration, has a route through streams, puddles and breathtaking scenery.

The cost starts from 70€ per person.

5. Royal Villa and its gardens

The Villa Reale of Monza, built by the will of the Austrian Kingdom, è has been the home of several important families, including the Savoys.

With 10€ per person you can visit the interior of the villa with its 28 rooms, including apartments and salons.

At the end of the visit, we recommend a free walk inside the royal gardens, full of farmsteads, mills and neo-Gothic walls venturing inside the large Parco di Monza.

6. Bergamo and San Pellegrino

To spend Ferragosto between relaxing and sightseeing, we recommend a trip to Bergamo. Here, you can stroll through the streets of the Città Alta, reachable on foot or by funicular. 

We recommend that you try typical trattorias, such as, Mimì - La Casa dei Sapori, or try new experiences in the surrounding area, such as a horseback ride in the Bergamo hills.

To end the day, you can reach, in about 30 minutes, San Pellegrino Terme and enjoy a relaxing break at Qc terme.

7. Medieval day in Zavattarello

Zavattarello, a small town in the Oltrepò Pavese, is organizing medieval days for August Ferragosto.

A’chance to discover the Castle Dal Verme. On the two days, August 14 and 15, there will be several shows.

To access all scheduled events è you need the Medieval Bracelet, which can be purchased on site (about 10€per person,5€ for the under-12s). In closing, there will be a fireworks spectacular.

8. Exploring the Ducal Palace and Palazzo te in Mantua

Mantova è a cityà rich in monuments and palaces, such as, Palazzo Ducale, i.e., the palace of the Gonzagas, and Palazzo Te, a Renaissance villa. These two buildings represent the artistic heritage of the cityà.

9. Lake Como Vespa Tour

10. Scaliger Castle of Sirmione

Sirmione's landmark Scaliger Castle is known for its towers and crenellated walls. Inside, you can explore the courtyard, walkways and dockyard, or climb the tower for a splendid view of Lake Garda.

The Countess' Bidet, the Iron Falls, Qualido Pond and Cascina Piana are some of the main attractions in the area.

12. A day at the water park

Of the various water parks around Milan, we recommend Acquatica Park. The price for daily admission è 28€ per person.
