Tasting of 4 wines with a Tuscan lunch in Montepulciano

Get away from the crowds in Montepulciano’s historic center and enjoy an authentic experience in the Tuscan countryside, in Cervognano. Visit a family-run winery, taste four local wines—including Vino Nobile di Montepulciano—and enjoy a light lunch featuring traditional Tuscan specialties.

You’ll be welcomed by Viola, the owners’ daughter, who will guide you on a tour of the estate and its traditions. You’ll begin with a short walk through some of the estate’s oldest vineyards, during which you’ll learn about the grape varieties grown, the characteristics of the terroir, and some interesting facts about wine production.

You’ll continue with a guided tasting of four wines: a white, a rosé, and two reds, including the renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. You’ll discover the aromas and characteristics of each glass while listening to stories and interesting facts about the local winemaking tradition.

To accompany the tasting, you’ll enjoy a light Tuscan-style lunch featuring cold cuts, cheeses, and various bruschetta, including one made with extra virgin olive oil produced on the estate. Depending on the season, you’ll also sample a traditional dish, such as panzanella, caprese, prosciutto and melon, or fagioli all’uccelletto. All this takes place in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, surrounded by vineyards and the rolling Tuscan hills.
