1. Red Valley Festival

From August 13 to 16, in Olbia, you can experience the 10th edition of the Red Valley Festival.

An unmissable event, with the participation of Italian and international artists: from Anna to Max Pezzali to Alan Walker.

Tickets start from 40€ per person. Inside the festival area you will also find food trucks to eat and recharge between concerts.

2. August bank holiday on a boat

An activity that would allow you to spend the August bank holiday in an alternative way è a boat trip in Sardinia.

Depending on the area you are in, you can explore the Maddalena Archipelago, the Emerald Coast, the Island of Asinara, the Gulf of Orosei, Villasimius or Cagliari.

Excursions can be daily, half-day, or sunset and can include an'aperitif orlunch on board

3. Sea Festival

From August 14 to 17, 2025, the Marina di Porto Corallo in Villaputzu will host the Festa del Mare, an event celebrating the culinary and cultural traditions of southeastern Sardinia.

Every evening, starting at 8:30 p.m., it will be possible to taste typical dishes such as ravioli, malloreddus, seafood fregula and mixed fried fish, accompanied by musical performances and entertainment for the whole family.

On Aug. 16, the festival reaches its climax with a procession at sea in honor of Our Lady of the Sea, followed by a fireworks display that will light up the sky of Porto Corallo.

4. The Arbatax Music Festival

From August 11 to 14, 2025, Arbatax will host the 4ª edition of the Arabax Music Festival, in the picturesque setting of the Red Rocks.

Four evenings of pop, rap and dance music with artists such as Rondo, Ernia, Capo Plaza, Fred De Palma, Gabry Ponte, Rose Villain and many others.

Tickets start from 40€ per person. The festival area offers food trucks and lounging areas to enjoy every moment of the event.

5. 15th august in Alghero

August 15, 2025, Alghero celebrates Ferragosto with the traditional Focs de Mig Agost, a fireworks display that lights up the sky and the sea of the Coral Riviera.

The show, organized by the Municipality of Alghero and the Alghero Foundation, will take place at 10:30 p.m. at the Molo di Sopraflutto of the city harbor.

The event attracts thousands of spectators every year; it is advisable to arrive early to find a place along the urban shoreline, the Bastions or the Dante Promenade.

6. Horse riding

Of the various activities to try in August, we recommend a horseback ride in Sardinia.

You can choose which area of Sardinia to explore such as La Maddalena, San Teodoro, Cagliari or Sant'Antioco. The cost of horseback rides starts from 40€ per person and depends on the duration and area.

In most cases, you must be 14 years of age or older to participate, but there may be exceptions (always noted). &Eegrave; it is also necessary to wear long pants and close-toed shoes to participate.

7. Ferragosto in Castelsardo

From August 13 to 15, 2025, Castelsardo comes alive with a rich program of events to celebrate Ferragosto in the picturesque setting of the Rocca dei Doria.

On Aug. 15, at 10 p.m., singer Bianca Atzei will perform in concert, followed, at the stroke of midnight, by a breathtaking fireworks display that will illuminate the sky above the castle.

The evening will continue with a DJ set, transforming the square into an open-air disco, for dancing and partying late into the night.

8. Quad & ATV ride

For an adrenaline-pumping experience, we suggest you try a quad bike ride in Sardinia.

There are several experiences scattered throughout the region that will allow you to explore the inland or the Sardinian coast. The price starts from 110€ for two people and depends on the duration of the outing.

To participate è appropriate, comfortable and off-road-friendly clothing is required.

9. Carapigna Festival

On August 14 and 15, 2025, Aritzo celebrates the Festival of Carapigna, dedicated to the traditional lemon sorbet handcrafted using ancient snow preservation techniques. 

During the event, visitors can taste free carapigna, as well as nougat, local cheeses and other typical specialties, accompanied by musical and folk performances. 

The days will be enriched by craft exhibitions, visits to local museums and the procession in honor of the Assumption, offering an'immersion into the culture and traditions of the mountain village. 

10. Wine Tasting in Villasimius

To spend the day of Ferragosto in company, we suggest a wine tasting with guided tour among the vineyards in Villasimius.

With this experience you can discover the secrets of the production of their organic wines, while savoring typical Sardinian products, such as cheese and sausage.

The cost of the experience starts from 35€ per person.

11. Trekking at Porto Giunco Tower

If you are fond of trekking the walk to Torre di porto Giunco, blacks near Villasimius is for you.

The walk takes about 20 minutes and è it is recommended to bring comfortable shoes because of some spots that are a pò rippy and slippery. The top of the promontory è can be reached on foot from the beach of Porto Giunco or from the Cava di Usai by following paths that wind through the Mediterranean scrub. 

On completion of the walk, you can relax at Porto Giunco beach, which è easily accessible from the parking lot. Parking at the beach costs 5€ per day.
