Dairy Tour and Parmigiano Reggiano Tasting in Parma
You’ll depart from Borgo del Gazzano, in Parma, for a 2½-hour guided tour of the farm, its dairy, and the aging facilities, followed by a Parmigiano Reggiano tasting.
You’ll tour the dairy farm and discover how milk from the farm’s cows is turned into cheese. The tour engages all five senses and includes stories about farm life and the traditions of Parmigiano Reggiano.
You’ll enter the Japanese Room and the Wow Room, then conclude the tour by tasting Parmigiano Reggiano at three different ages.
If you choose the 9:00 a.m. tour, you’ll be able to observe the early stages of cheese production. Tours at other times include the visit and tasting, but not this stage of the process.
