

Learn how to make cheese on an authentic dairy farm through this experience suitable for everyone in the Ossola Valley.
You will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the steps involved in dairy production, from processing milk to making your own cheese, which you can take home as a tasty souvenir.
The activity will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a meeting at the dairy, followed by an introductory briefing and handover of materials.
You will witness the preparation of curd, discovering the secrets of milk processing, and visit the historic Latteria Turnaria, with its restored rooms and ancient processing tools.
In the workshop, you will actively participate in the breaking of the curd and the forming of the first salt, experiencing firsthand the dairyman's craft.
Afterwards, you will enjoy a lunch that will allow you to taste typical local products:
- Fresh and aged cow and goat cheeses
- Ricotta and artisanal spreads
- Ossola cured meats (Cacciatori pork, goat and venison, Bresaola Ossolana)
- Ossola bread with figs, walnuts, raisins and rye
In the afternoon you will drive to the barn, located about 600 meters away, to watch the goats and kids grazing. You will have the opportunity to get close to the animals, participate in a milking trial and help prepare the pen.
The day will end with the collection of the cheese you produced, the presentation of certificates of participation and the opportunity to take advantage of a 10 percent discount voucher for purchases in the dairy's commissary.
