1. Cala Gonone Central Beach

The Central Beach of Cala Gonone, è one of the area's historic beaches and is located next to the town's port. Despite its location it has clear water in which è it is possible to bathe.

It's location è definitely the highlight, as it is possible to walk and arrive directly in the historic center of the townà behind the beach.

2. Palmasera Beach

The Beach of Palmasera, in Cala Gonone, is the area's widest shoreline, with a magnificent view of the Gulf of Orosei and the local tourist port.

Here you will find convenient parking and the possibility of renting umbrellas and deck chairs from 10€ per person.

To reach Palmasera you can leave from the port of Cala Gonone and choose from several boat excursions to visit the Sea Ox Caves and the Fico Caves

3. Sos Dorroles Beach

The Sos Dorroles Beach è a continuation of Palmasera Beach and is located further south of the latter. Characterized by fine sand mixed with gravel, è it is surrounded by vegetation and an orange rock wall.

The beach è has free access and no closed number, although the maximum capacity is about 500 people. There are no facilities, but è a small parking lotis available nearby.

The beach is a small, open-air beach.

It can be reached from Dorgali by following the SP26 until Cala Gonone, then along Bue Marino Avenue, just beyond the Smeraldo Hotel. From the center of Cala Gonone in less than 5 minutes, by car, you will arrive at your destination.

4. S'abba Meica Beach

S’Abba Meica is a small and wild rocky cove with crystal-clear waters, ideal for those seeking tranquility while moving away from the larger beaches of Sos Dorroles and Palmasera.

The beach è free access and can accommodate up to about 200 people. It is dog-friendly, according to municipal regulations, and it's easily accessible even for those traveling with pets. There are no services, but there is free parking nearby.

S’Abba Meica can be reached on foot from Sos Dorroles beach or by taking the scenic road that leads to Cala Fuili. An easy route that passes through some of the most suggestive areas of the coast.

5. Ziu Martine Beach

Ziu Martine is a small secluded cove nestled in the wilderness. Located north of Cala Fuili, it can hold up to 100 people.

The beach has free access and doesn't have any services. Along the roadway there is ample free parking.

It is located within the National Park of the Gulf of Orosei and Gennargentu, just 3 km from Cala Gonone. You follow the Viale del Bue Marino to the end of the road, then follow a dirt path and a stairs that leads to the beach.

6. Cala Fuili

In the Gulf of Orosei another renowned cove is Cala Fuili, characterized by white pebbles and turquoise waters. It is easily accessible by land from Cala Gonone and is one of the few beaches in the area that can be reached by car.

Cala Fuili is perfect for those who enjoy hiking, with trails leading to Cala Luna or the Bue Marino Caves. Alternatively, you can opt for boat tours from the ports of Arbatax, Cala Gonone, Orosei and Santa Maria Navarrese.

The beach is also famous for the Codula Fuili Canyon, just behind the cove, which is ideal for rock climbing, suitable even for beginners

7. Ziu Santoru

Ziu Santoru is a small beach, characterized by sand and a shallow seabed.

The beach è cyclic, meaning sand is not è always present every year. It is accessible only by foot, via trekking, or via sea, with the possibility of walking on the shallow water to reach it.

Ziu Santoru is perfect for lovers of adventure, silence and snorkeling.

8. Cala Luna

Cala Luna is a bay with 800 meters of fine sand and crystal clear waters, ideal for snorkeling and diving. Here, è you can rest in one of its caves or, if you are a diving enthusiast, explore the relitto del Nasello, a fishing boat sunk during World War II.

To visit Cala Luna you can choose to take a boat tour from Cala Gonone, which includes visits to other famous coves such as Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritzé.

Alternatively, it is possible to reach Cala Luna on foot by following a path of about 6 km that starts from Cala Fuili, which can be walked in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

9. Cala Mariolu

Cala Mariolu, voted the beauthest beach in Europe, è also known as "Is Puligi de Nie" (the snow fleas) for its characteristic pink and white pebbles. The beach is distinguished by its colorful hues and the high cliff that surrounds it.

The shallow waters of Cala Mariolu are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. In addition, è you can spot dolphins offshore and nearby you can explore the Fico Cave and several coves, including Cala Luna.

To reach Cala Mariolu by land è requires a challenging trek from the Golgo plateau, recommended only for experienced hikers. The most convenient way to get to the cove è via sea, with a'boat trip from Arbatax, Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese.

10. Seagull Cove

Cala dei Gabbiani, whose name comes from the numerous seagulls that find shelter there at sunset, is located on the Baunei Coast and is very similar to the nearby Cala Mariolu, thanks to its waters shaded in green and blue and 500-meter-high rock walls.

On the beach of Cala dei Gabbiani one can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and diving to explore the seabed rich in marine fauna.

The cove can be reached by boat or, for those who enjoy trekking, by an approximately 3-hour walk through the Ispuligidenie forest to the beach.
