This excursion can be developed in three different modes:

Evening with aperitif (Wednesday)

Easy snowshoeing in the Fassa Valley immersed in a fantastic winter landscape after sunset. An exciting snowshoe walk suitable for everyone, colored by the last lights of sunset! After the sun has gone down behind the mountains, headlamps will be used! After the snowshoeing is over, there will be a stop at the hut or restaurant where a relaxing aperitif will be waiting for us. The walk will last about 1 hour, Meeting at 17:00 return for 19:00.

Half day (Monday or Friday)

Half-day educational excursion with Mountain Guides to experience moving through the snow with snowshoes! Many different routes, to discover the most scenic places in the Fassa Valley. We will learn how to approach the mountains in a winter guise: we will talk about snow conditions, choice of routes and proper use of the equipment. Meeting at 9:30 a.m., return around 12:30 p.m. Duration hike about 2 hours and a quarter.

Full day (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday)

The Alpine Guides offer a full-day educational snowshoe hike, so you can reach the most beautiful and spectacular alpine pastures in the Fassa Valley. We will learn how to approach the mountain in its winter guise: we will talk about snow conditions, route selection and proper use of equipment.

This option includes a lunch break at typical huts in the Dolomites where there will be no shortage of traditional local dishes (lunch not included and pay on the spot). The hike will be about 4 hours. Departure time 9:30 a.m. and return scheduled for 3:30 p.m. 

During these snowshoe tours you will be accompanied by mountain guides.

Snowshoes and poles are provided free of charge by the guides.

Group snowshoeing between Moena and Passo San Pellegrino is a unique opportunity to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon in the fresh snow in the Dolomites. The following options are available for snowshoeing.

Half-day (Tuesday, Saturday)

Two-hour afternoon hike from 2 p.m. From the Costabella chairlift, you will hike into the snowy forest surrounding the San Pellegrino Pass alpine lake.

Thursday

For the sunset snowshoe hike you will need to take the Costabella chairlift (not included in the price), then continue to the Paradiso hut where you will stop for a short break. During the walk you will be able to admire the impressive effect of the Enrosadira of the Dolomites.

Friday

The night walk to Passo del Pellegrino starts at 5 p.m. Starting from the Costabella chairlift you will enter the silent forest under the starry sky. At the end of the tour there will be a stop at a mountain hut for apertivo.

Saturday (Full day)

The full-day snowshoe hike starts at approximately 9 a.m. Half will be decided by the guide based on weather conditions. Routes vary between the landscapes of the Fairy Dolomites (Moena), Alpe Lusia and San Pellegrino Pass. A mid-day stop at a refuge for lunch is planned.

Snowshoes are included in the reservation price while the chairlift is payable locally or included with the ski pass.

Hiking boots or after-ski boots are required for all snowshoeing in the Fassa Valley and it is recommended to bring a backpack with a wind/rain jacket, water bottle and snacks.

•    Group hikes can last from 3 to 6 hours and are of low to medium difficulty.
•    Private hikes can be day or half-day hikes with varying difficulty.

Snowshoeing can be turned into hiking if there is little snow.

Refuge lunches or dinners can be arranged by making arrangements with the guide in advance.

Suitable winter clothing with warm, waterproof clothing is necessary to make sure you enjoy the experience in rather harsh weather.
