Golfo Aranci, also known as Gulfu di li Ranci (crab gulf) is located in northeastern Sardinia, between the Emerald Coast and Olbia.

1. Historic center of Golfo Aranci
If you are in Golfo Aranci for the vacations, we suggest that you walk through the historic center of the town characterized by colorful old houses.
Also, you cannot miss the beautiful lungomare that leads you from the port to the oldest part of the townà.
Along the way, you can admire the bronze statue of the Siren, who emerges from the waters every day at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. accompanied by an evocative song.
To end the day, you can try a dinner of typical dishes such as porceddu (roast suckling pig), culurgiones (stuffed Sardinian ravioli) at the restaurant Scorfano Allegro, or at'Ostrica Ubriaca.
2. White Beach
The White Beach, which owes its name to the color of the sand, is one of the closest beaches to Golfo Aranci and offers an excellent view of the Island of Tavolara.
Access is free, with no closed number or need for reservations. Is also present a parking lot before entering the beach.
There are a number of services on site, including bar and restaurants, which also offer rental of sunbeds, umbrellas and canoes.
3. Boat tour
If you are planning to spend a day near Golfo Aranci, you cannot miss a boat ride to discover the beaches and the'Isola of Tavolara.
Of the various excursions that depart from the port of Golfo Aranci, you can opt for half-day or daily sunset trips.
We particularly recommend the excursion that will take you to the search for dolphins which can be done as a group or exclusively.
4. Sos Aranzon Beach
The Sos Aranzos Beach è a small white sandy beach is located a bit more south along the gulf coast and è particularly loved by tourists for its crystal clear water.
The beach è with free access free, with shallow, sandy bottoms perfect for families. It has numerous facilities: bar, sunbed and umbrella rental, and opportunities for water sports, such as windsurfing and paddle boarding.
The parking è available both along the street and in a small pay parking area, for only 5€ all day.
5. Cala Moresca
Cala Moresca è a small cove with two small beaches of golden sand, overlooking the’IIsola di Figarolo, perfect for those seeking tranquility and unspoiled nature.
Because of the surrounding rocks è particularly popular with snorkelers. In fact, we recommend that you bring a mask and fins with you so that you can explore this beautiful stretch of the Gulf.
The beach è free and devoid of services, so è it is advisable to bring with sé food and water. È can only be reached on foot since the nearest parking lot is 500 meters away and access requires a short walk, to be done with comfortable shoes.
6. Fishing tourism in Golfo Aranci
During the vacations, we recommend you try a somewhat alternative experience, namely that of Fishing.
You leave from the port of Golfo Aranci and during the day, accompanied by some experienced guides, you will catch fresh fish that you will then cook and eat for lunch.
The cost of the experience'is 110€ per person for adults and 80€ per person for children. Some stops for swimming in the sea are also planned during the outing.
7. Spending a day at Bados Beach
The Bados Beach is located about 10 km più south of Golfo Aranci and è can be reached either by car or public transport.
Like other beaches in the area, è it features fine white sand with clear water and shallow waters which makes it perfect for families with children.
It does not require a reservation as itè è has free access and offers various services such as bars and restaurants. Behind it è there is also a parking lot where you can leave your car for the whole day for only 5€.
8. Visiting MuMart
We suggest an excursion to the MuMart, the Maritime Museum of Art in Golfo Aranci, the only submerged museum in Sardinia. It houses 14 marine-themed sculptures created by internationally renowned contemporary artists, placed between 4 and 7 meters deep.
The MuMart è accessible to everyone: it can be explored by snorkeling with fins, mask and snorkel, or by participating in guided dives organized by local diving centers.
The museum area is bordered by a circle of buoys visible from the shore, and access è free for snorkelers.
9. Cala Sassari
The Beach of Cala Sassari, a short distance from Spiaggia Bianca, offers a splendid view of the Island of Tavolara and Figarolo. Thanks to its fine sand and shallow waters è perfect for swimming even with children.
The beach è equipped with a number of services: bar, restaurant, rental of umbrellas, deck chairs, as well as a large parking lot for a fee of 10€ daily.

10. Trekking to the battery at Cape Figari
For mountain lovers we recommend the trekking to the Old Battery of Capo Figari, near Golfo Aranci. The route, a loop and of mediumdifficulty, è about 7 km long with 350 meters of elevation gain.
You start from the parking lot near Cala Moresca and follow the well-marked trail that leads to the top of the promontory.
The battery, built during World War I, è today an exceptional vantage point. Here, Guglielmo Marconi carried out experiments on radio waves in 1932. The total duration of the excursion variesfrom 3 to 4 hours.
11. Marinella Beach
The Marinella Beach, unlike the others mentioned so far, is located more north of Golfo Aranci and can be reached in about 10 minutes by car from the city center.
It is an expanse of fine sand that stretches for about 1 km, near a former fishing village, now a tourist resort.
The beach offers both free areasand equipped facilities with rentals of umbrellas, deck chairs, pedalò, jet skis, dinghies and sailboats.
12. What to do in Golfo Aranci in the evening
Golfo Aranci, being located between the Costa Smeralda and San Teodoro, is fortunate to have several options for the evening.
If you are looking for discos, we recommend Country Club Portorotondo, Blue jeans, and Luna Glam Club.
Alternatively, you can opt for an evening drinking a drink at beach bars such as the Triku beach restaurant and the Fino Beach & Restaurant on Cala Sassari Beach.
