Saffron tour in abruzzo with harvesting and typical lunch

Experience an authentic experience in the heart of Abruzzo, among the hills of the Navelli Plateau, where you will discover L'Aquila PDO saffron up close, with activities dedicated to its harvesting and processing and a typical saffron-themed lunch.

In the early morning hours you will enter the fields together with local producers and witness the different stages of saffron processing. From the harvesting of the delicate flowers, to the manual separation of the precious red pistils, to the final drying.


During the experience you will be able to immerse yourself in the scents and colors of the most authentic Abruzzo, listening to stories and curiosities related to saffron culture and the Navelli area, famous for the unique quality of its production.

At the end of the’activity; you will sit down for a local three-course lunch entirely dedicated to saffron, where this precious ingredient enhances flavors and recipes of the Abruzzo tradition. The menuù includes water, wine and coffeeè to end the experience with a true journey into the flavors of the territory.
