Boat Tour on the Adriatic and Ionian sides from the old port of Santa Maria di Leuca

Discover the caves around Santa Maria di Leuca Bay with a boat excursion to both sides of the sea.

The itinerary includes:

• Departure from the port of Santa Maria di Leuca.

Skirting Punta Meliso you will be able to admire from the boat the Basilica Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae, the Leuca Lighthouse and the Monumental Steps. Also, around the harbor you can observe the "bagnarole," masonry structures for privacy during sea bathing.

• Adriatic side

After a brief stop at Grotta Cazzafri, you will proceed to Grotta Terradico, Grotta delle Verduselle, Grotta del Soffio and Grotta della Vora. A swimming break will then be taken near the caves.

• Ionian slope

After Grotta Porcinara and Grotta del Diavolo, you will visit Grotta del Fiume, Grotta delle Tre Porte, Caverna dei Giganti, Grotta della Stalla and Grotta del Drago. It too ends with a break for swimming in the sea.

Depending on the tour chosen:

• A 1-hour and 30-minute excursion includes only one of the sides, skipper's choice.
• A 3-hour excursion includes both sides and refreshments on board. There is a freshwater shower on board for rinsing off after swimming.

It is recommended to bring a beach towel, sunscreen and snorkeling equipment to explore the caves.
